No, all clients are subject to our Fair Use and Ethics Policy, our wider policies and and our Terms and Conditions. The following is a non-exhaustive list and is not intended to replace the need to read all of our policies that you can find at the bottom of ever poundawebsite webpage or by using the following handy link:
https://poundawebsite.com/index.php/fair-use-ethics-policy
You can use the handy index at the top to jump to the section that you are interested in when you read any of our documents and also, at the bottom of each section, you can jump back to the index :)
In terms of ethics:
We don't do business with:
1. People or businesses who harm animals as we love them. This includes companies who directly test on animals (for medical or any other form of research), companies that commission animal testing, companies that work in the fish or meat industry or those that endorse them. Our company are avid supporters of Animal Free Research UK (previously the Dr Hadwen Trust), a charity that fund research into alternatives to animal testing. Although we are ironically registered at the same registered office address (without realising when we registered the business through a formation agent), we are not affiliated to them in any way.
Retailers that are not directly involved in the fish or meat industry (for example those that sell it as one of many products but not solely) are welcome, so an abattoir, butchers, a fishmongers, a farm concerned with the supply or utilisation of animal livestock (including dairy farms and those involved in the supply of birds or eggs) and similar ventures are not welcome. Those that breed animals for commercial gain are also not welcome.
2. Those that are involved in the production of nuclear waste. There is no way of disposing of most most of it, it is lethal and we care about the legacy that we leave to our children.
3. Those that provide services to the public sector. We have serious concerns about their treatment of poorer people, black and ethnic minorities and others who are disadvantaged or from minority backgrounds.
4. Legal firms unless they provide fair pro-bono services for poorer people of equal quality, and across all of their practice areas, compared to their fee paying customers. We do not support a two tier legal system.
5. Those who discriminate against people who are in receipt of welfare benefits.
6. Those who have previously deliberately breached our terms, conditions or ethics policy and we have terminated your service.
In terms of fair use, the same policy covers this - you can find out more about this aspect from this handy link:
https://poundawebsite.com/index.php/fair-use-ethics-policy
If we find breaches of our Fair Use and Ethics Policy, our Terms and Conditions and wider policies, we reserve the right to terminate services without warning or refund and without guarantee of backups being made available unless we have recently changed this policy, since you have joined, in which case we will Email you and give you notice per our terms and conditions.
If this doesn't answer your enquiry, please do not hesitate to raise a support ticket from within your client area, or, if you are not yet a client, please Email sales(at)poundawebsite.com and we'll be happy to look into this for you :-)
