I've locked myself out of my hosting or a hosting service

Here's the key..

Don't worry, here's a handy guide:

I am locked out of the client area and I don't have 2 Factor Authentication Enabled

If you have locked yourself out of your client area, for example, you had a sticky keyboard, you simply forgot your password or you can't use your 2 factor authentication, don't worry. You can reset your client area password yourself and an Email will be generated to your registered Email address. Your Client area password will also be the password for your cPanel accounts unless you change them.

I am locked out of the client area and I have 2 Factor Authentication Enabled or you are locked out of a cPanel account

If you use 2 factor authentication, you will need your backup code. If you don't have this, we will ask you security questions (not payment details or passwords) to disable 2 factor security and/or reset your password for you. We will also ask you security questions to reset any cPanel password.

I am locked out of an Email account on my Shared Webhosting

You can reset your Email inbox passwords by logging into cPanel and going to the Emails Accounts option and then click "manage" beside the Email account. Don't forget to save any changes!

I am locked out of SumUp or Online Banking for Paying by Bank Transfer/Standing Order (Scheduled Payments)

We can't help you with logging in to your accounts with SumUp or your bank though. You will need to contact them directly for support with this.

I am locked out of a third party system that I have installed that uses a database

For most systems that you install, you can go into phpMyAdmin, locate the database, find the users table for the database, pop in a new password in the field for the related record and select MD5 for the type of record to update your password.

We can help you with this if you need support. Our tech experts should never ask you for any information other than the intended password you want to use though (and some account verification details to prove you are who you say you are).

If this doesn't answer your enquiry, please do not hesitate to raise a support ticket from within your client area and we'll be happy to look into this for you, if you can, or alternatively you can Email support(at)poundawebsite.com, telephone or speak to us on online chat.
