Introduction
There are differences between what is typically hosted on a shared hosting platform and what is hosted on Virtual Private Servers (VPS). VPS are either managed (full in house support but without root access) or unmanaged (you have root access and manage them yourself).
The line between what Shared Hosting is for and what VPS is for is typically drawn in a fair use policy within our industry. Our policy does the same.
Regardless of whether you are hosted on a VPS or our Shared Hosting Package, the content can't be illegal, either in Civil or Criminal Law. So please don't slander people, promote unlawful hacking, break copyright, promote breaking the law or break the law. Also, regardless of whether you are hosted on a VPS or a Shared Hosting Package, we have a zero tolerance policy to SPAM.
Shared Hosting
On shared hosting, content can not be a hog on our server resources - so we have a limit of each client not being able to use more than 10% of our server's overall processing power.
We can't accept peer to peer sharing, IRC servers, video uploads (please use Youtube or a similar website off our servers for these and you can then link to them) or document stores, such as owncloud, on our shared hosting packages.

Managed and Unmanaged VPS
In many cases where you inadvertently breach our Fair Use aspects of our Fair Use and Ethics Policy, we will be able to point you in the direction of a more appropriate VPS package but we cannot guarantee the suitability of our services for your needs.
If you end up deciding that our shared webhosting is not for you, we can transfer you to a VPS with the transfer itself being free of charge.
Our VPS cost more than £1.00 a month + VAT + a small handling charge but they are still incredibly reasonably priced.
