What if I have occasionally very high traffic on my shared hosting websites?

This summary is not intended to be read instead of our Ethics and Fair Use Policy and Terms and Conditions and this summary is non-exhaustive.

The number of visitors you have, in itself is rarely ever a problem. If you have a very high number of visitors interacting beyond merely reading your website, for example, a very busy e-commerce website, this is where you may find that usage becomes intensive and it may exceed our fair use elements of our Fair Use and Ethics Policy.

Our shared hosting packages do allow for occasional very high use spikes but additional, burstable allowances are provided on a discretionary basis and without guarantee. If we see packages regularly exceeding the Fair Use aspects of our Fair Use and Ethics Policy, we reserve the right to suspend them pending investigation and to require remedial action to be taken. This may involve us only being able to offer you a VPS instead.

We do this to ensure that all of our Clients have a great experience with us and because some operations are simply not considered suitable for shared webhosting across the entire industry.

Our VPS offering is more expensive than £1.00 per month + VAT + A small handling charge though but our prices are still highly competitive.
